Coaching Services
Where we begin.
Our work together begins with an assessment of where you are and what you need. For each person, this can be different, so I offer a program that suits the individual rather than one size fits all. Some people are ready to dive in and get right to work, and for many others, just taking the time to discover where they are and what they need is plenty. After 30 years of healing and study, I have access to a wide variety of tools and modalities to share, from simple, but highly effective meditation and relaxation techniques, to specific coaching to help navigate challenging and chronic large life issues. In addition, I am skilled and trained to provide practical wisdom that is easily incorporated into life, so the benefits can be experienced right away.

Gentle Guidance
Little by little, gentle and at your speed is a powerful way to work with the tight and tender places many of us struggle with…just like when we’re trying to untangle a knot…it’s the patience and perseverance that pays off. With a sliding scale of interaction and custom individualized tools, results on a long term program with lasting benefits.
Couples
It’s challenging as a couple to try and navigate alone, when old arguments flare, and new hurts seem to constantly arise. Working with guidance creates a safe space to see a new possibility, a different way of connecting, and an ongoing opportunity to grow and develop, individually and as a couple. Trained in marriage enrichment, Devorah is a welcoming advocate to help couples access and utilize well tested tools and exercises to strengthen and enrich. with a gentle hand and a non-judgmental, accepting manner.
Death Education
Death has finally come out of the closet, and with it, the benefits of discussing life, and end of life, long before the end. Trained in Thanatology, the study of death and dying, Devorah takes a practical and supportive view to help families navigate challenging conversations, difficult conversations and often, very emotionally trying situations. Large life events, like death, are inevitable, but with some planning , familial upsets, life disruptions and financial strain can often be greatly reduced.
Ritual, Ceremony and Spiritual Inquiry
Often we tend to the mind and body, and leave the spiritual and energetic to an afterthought…but like weddings and funerals, life rituals can have an enormous and valuable impact on the immediate and ongoing quality of our life. Devorah is trained to lead ceremonies, develop individual and group rituals, and guide powerful and potent spiritual inquiry. Combining her background in theater, with life long training in shamanism, healing touch, Reiki, and other methods of person growth, Devorah offers a robust and creative library of transformative opportunities.

I have a knack for gently helping people build up, feel nourished and safe and held with an enormous amount of compassion. I’ve been an educator, writer and researcher on large life issues for over thirty years. Having twice walked the path of cancer myself, and three times with my immediate family, I’ve dedicated my life and practice to sharing the wisdom and benefits of emotional fitness. Having been the primary caregiver as well as the patient, I learned firsthand that issues like illness, suck, but can suck less with the right guidance.

No matter the modality, tool, tip, or wisdom - talking or reading about exercise is not the same as actually exercising and won’t get us the same results. So with my method, we’re active and engaged, practicing our practice - because it’s less about what we do, than that we do, on a regular and consistent basis. However, unlike physical fitness, where it can take time to see changes, with emotional fitness, just showing up, just taking the time for ourselves, already creates benefits.
This work is very gentle, and uses a sliding scale of interaction, because a little, for many people, goes a long way - and especially if we’re tender, and tired, and in need of some metaphorical cushioning and softness for the hard places.
